Well, Crap.

OK, so last night I was typing a practice paper for my English midterm (apparently my teacher was told she HAD to give us one), and the quote key just fell off the keyboard! Can you believe it? God, I'm so pissed. As you can see, the key still works, but it's very awkward to type with...UGH it pisses me off!

I tried to put it back on, but as it was 11 o'clock at night I was just getting frustrated and decided to save it for this morning. I couldnt get it back together (the little plastic peices under the key had come apart) and promptly went upstairs for breakfast in a bad mood. Momma asked me what was wrong, I told her, and she and Tinkerbelle were able to get it back together! Seriously, momma can't even figure out how to use a computer but she can put the computer key back together? How does that even happen?

So they got it together and tried to put it back on the keyboard, but apparently one of the plastic peices was cracked and so the key won't go back on...ugh... Now I've gotta pay someone like a thousand dollars for a half hours worth of work to fix the damn key. And I still have practice papers to write!! All in all, not a good day.

Thank goodness for The Ellen Degeneres Show, otherwise my day would have totally sucked.

There's also some amusement in Kohl. Oh, how I love that puppy! See, he likes to jump up on the footrest of our recliner when it's up, and just sit there on top of the feet of whoever is sitting in the chair at the time. Momma and I were watching tv, and suddenly Kohl braced himself and jumped up and over momma's foot, which she had crossed over her leg. He hit the ground, and looked at me like, "What the hell?" at the exact same time momma was saying out loud, "what the hell, Kohl?" Kohl walked around, confused, and then jumped up onto the chair beside momma. It was then that we came up with the assumption that he thought the footrest was up, because momma's foot was just up around where the footrest would have been if it had been up. We laughed hystarically for a few moments (and are still laughing about it now) even after Kohl gave us a look of death for laughing at him.

Also, I discovered this morning that the young woman who died in a gas station fire yesterday had graduated from Coronado with Tinkerbelle. Neither of us knew her personally, but it's still scary. This is the second death of a Coronado graduate in less than a year. I'm probably over reacting, but is Coronado's class of '08 cursed? I mean, jeeze!

So that's how my day's been going. I should be doing homework, and instead I'm worrying about non-existant curses and laughing at my silly puppy. *sigh* Oh, well. At least I'm passing my classes, right?

Woo-hoo!

So I got my grant check a few weeks ago, and I've since been looking for a bank to deposit it into. I was using Ent, but there was a little problem with me overdrawing....

Anyway, I finally went to the bank today and started an account, so I officially have money now. Woo! Exciting, huh?

I guess Kohl was a bad dog all day today. He started out ok, and when my parents came home from the grocery store, he followed them in and out of the house while they were unloading the car. No leash or anything! But then when Poppa went outside to get the mail, Kohl followed him, and promptly ran full speed up the hill toward the nearest intersection. Poppa jumped into the car and followed him, quickly pulling him back inside. Then Kohl got into the trash and tore apart some... womanly items... from inside. Yeah, I'm sure you get my drift. Needless to say, my parents were not happy.

When we first got Kohl, they blocked off the side of the house in the backyard by stacking two benches on their sides against the wall so Kohl wouldn't fall into the window well of the basement. Plus, we keep tools and things back there, and he just shouldn't be getting into those things. Anyway, lately he's been very curious as to what's back there and has recently attemted several times to jump over the benches. Usually one of us catches him, but not this time. He got over to the side of the house, and then couldn't get back over the benches, which is strange because on any other day he can jump like, four feet. So yeah, my parents haven't been too happy with him all day.

Also, I was one of the best dancers in class today!!! YAY!!!!!

So it's been a good day, and hopefully I'll sleep well tonight. I haven't been lately...stress from school. Oh, well. Gotta go! Bye!

An...Interesting Morning

OK, so this morning I got to sleep in a little bit because I didn't have to go to English class today. We're working on a paper in that class and in order to get to us all to help us with our rough drafts, she splits up in half. One half comes in Tuesday, the other comes in Thursday. I went in on Tuesday. So anyway, I wake up at about 7:30 and start to get ready. I watched some tv, ate breakfast, played with Kohl, and packed up my stuff to go. I didn't have to leave until 11:00 but I headed out at 10:50 to put my mondo-sized back pack in the passenger seat of my car and bring the mail back in for my mom.

So I get out there, unlock the passenger door (I'm not blessed with automatic locks and have to unlock each door manually), and place my things inside....only to find that my glove compartment is open and everything inside is strewn about the passenger side. I not-so-gently shoved everything back inside and closed the compartment, then headed over to get the mail. Momma was at the door, holding Kohl, so I decided to ask her if Tinkerbelle or Poppa, who had both left earlier in the morning, had gone inside my car for something. She said that she didn't think so, and asked why I was asking. I told her about the glove compartment.

She came outside and came to see what I was talking about. Luckily the registration and insurance card was still there, and I always keep my ID with me, so no one got that. I figured that I'd probably left the door unlocked and whoever got inside had accidently locked the door behind him on the way out. It's easy to do. If you lean against the lock on the inside of the door, you can lock your keys inside the car without realizing it. Poppa's done this many, many times (It's only happened to me once, knock on wood). So I got into my car to drive to class, and noticed that the center consol, which folds open to provide cupholders for the passengers in back, was open, and some change that had been there before was missing. Hmm....strange, right?

Well, I figured it was only change, and I headed off to school. As I was heading down the hill outside our neighborhood, I heard a strange noise that sounded oddly like wind, and promptly pulled over to check it out.

My back passenger door was slightly ajar.

It was then that I remembered that I'd accidently left it unlocked, and had kept promising myself all week to lock it. Well, obviously I never did, because this is how the theif got into my car, and from there accessed my glove compartment and cupholders, also spreading some books I've kept back there since last semester to the floor in the process. Then the person hadn't closed the door all the way as they were leaving. Man, theives are messy! My car is filled to the brim with trash, and I still managed to notice that someone had broken in and that things weren't right. How totally wrong is that?

Anyway, just to be sure, I texted Poppa and Tinkerbelle and asked if they'd gone into my car this morning. Both of them said no, and promptly called me to get all the details. Of course, in the spirit of family, they called at the exact same time, and I hung up on Tink by accident...

Now, Poppa thinks we should file a police report. Oh, yay. I hate filing police reports (and I have done it before. That is a VERY long story). I did concider doing it this morning but concidering I walked into theatre class about ten minutes late anyway, I'm glad I didn't do it just then. Besides, there was no damage, and I'm sure the police can't do anything anyway, but it'll be nice to get the report out there.

So, yeah, that's how my morning went. Exciting huh? Well, for me it is. Nothing like this ever happens to me!
